Antivirus for Android are a hoax, according to Google

It is well known to everyone that believes that Android is a less secure than iOS operating system. This is what makes many antivirus applications are acquired by users. However, the reality is very different. According to Google, the Android antivirus are unnecessary in 99% of cases, and even are a hoax by the developers.
The words are from Adrian Ludwig, the security officer of Android, who has been very clear when talking about antivirus for Android. They are not necessary. First, it has called into question jucio studies claim that Android is a more insecure than iOS operating system. And really, it's true. Keep in mind that these studies are commissioned by companies engaged in selling antivirus, so it is unreasonable to conclude that the antivirus are useless. Furthermore, studies simply analyze the amount of malware that exists for the two operating systems. Android wins by a landslide to iOS, as there are more malware for OS from Google that for Apple. However, there is a greater amount of malware actually does not indicate that a less secure operating system. In fact, what really should look at is the number of users who have installed some time at some of these applications with malware, because I did not speak of such a big difference between iOS and Android.

Adrian Ludwig said that 99% of users do not need an antivirus. This is because Android already has active safety systems installed. For starters, we analyzed each application installed on your smartphone. But before that, Google analyzes the applications of Google Play. However, to install applications that do not contain malware, you need to install applications other than Google Play.
Which allows Google users to install applications that are not their official store does not indicate that Android is a less secure than iOS operating system. In fact, the option to install applications other than Google Play is disabled on Android, and you have to activate it if we install these applications. Arguably, only Android is a less secure operating system if we want, and even in that case would need an antivirus, it is unlikely that these are better than active safety systems with which already has Android.
